WRT to Dick Sullivan's request for an alt process projection system:
I also cannot vouch for the durability of ordinary enlarging lenses to UV but I
do think that there is enough UV transmission at 365 nm through glass systems
that that would not be an issue.
As far as light sources, I worked here in Silicon valley in the photolithography
area, and the standard equipment for exposing photoresist is high pressure Hg
sources (point sources), from 100w to 1000 watts. Some of these are for
projection/catadioptric optics for reduction. Typical exposure times were on
the order of seconds. I think a reasonable experiment would be to replace the
tungsten lamp in an enlarger with the light source from one of these resist
exposure units and give it a whack. Some of the better ones have gold heat
mirrors too, if that's a concern at some point.
