I tried Scala last year to find that at 200 it is as contrasty as colour
transparency film so if your subject has a brightness range of about three stops
then fine. To get a comparable range of tone to the old Dia Direct you have to
rate it at about 32. In other words pull by three or four stops. Dia Direct was
usually marketed at 32 but towards the end at 12.
