Need help with DI-13 and Dichromate stains

Finally got around to trying DI-13 with T-Max 100 in 4 x 5. Got some negs
I really liked and made a few prints on #3 grade paper (silver prints).
Upon examination in white light I notice all kinds of little thread-like
marks and tiny dots in the "sky" area mostly as if the negs are dirty???
These things are barely visable under magnification when the negs are
viewed on a light table. I suppose my take could have been dirty or the
plate holders but I am careful to clean these. I have never had this happen
before with other developers. Anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?

Second problem. I have been following the Dichromate stain discussion and
since I have a staining problem, I decided to try the 1% sulfuric acid
bath. I have to report that nothing happened. I don't know I a consensus
was ever reached on the staining problem. If it was, I missed it and if so,
would someone let me know what it was? Should I just dump all these prints
in a big tub and let them soak overnight?

merci d'avance,

Bob Schramm

PS about the DI-13 prints. The prints are beautiful and I really, really
like them except, of course, for the dirt spots. I hate to retouch-
not a solution.
