I placed an ad in the local free classified for an SX-70. It cost $25
with a flash and a case. There are several models. The one I have doesn't
have the Sonar (auto focus), look for one with that. Without it you
haveto guess or measure the distance to get good focus. It's a lot of
fun. It takes me about 20-30 min. to complete one image. It's best to let
is develop into a picture and then start manipulating the image. If you
press to har,d it cuts through the emulsion and reveals the black layer
beneath. Lightly rub the area first, then go over it and you can mix and
morph the colors and Image. I'm not crazy about using the camera to take
the picture. The lens is not great and you have little control of framing
that way. Parallax is bad.

I place a slide in my enlarger, project the image onto an empty SX-70
cartridge. Then in the darkness, remove the cartridge from the camera,
place under the enlarger and expose it at F/22 or F/16 for 2-3 secounds
(35mm w/75mm enlarging lense). Insert it back in the camera and close the
front. It instantly come out, and begin developing.

I have other tips regarding Polaroid 669 transfers if anyone is
interested.

Have fun!!
