The gelatin is usually between 6% and 10%. Yours is about 37% thats why so
sticky.
Also, dichromate should be around 3%. yours is way to high.

recommended:

70 ml water
7 g gelatin (1 knox package)
3 g sugar (one of those individual packages)
8 g Rowney jet black guoache
6 g ammonium Dichromate.
photoflow a few drops.

Mix gelatin, sugar, 35ml of cool water, let stand 30 min.
Mix pigment, dichromate, 35ml water.

Heat each seperately in pan of water to 45-50 degrees c. then combine.

when hot, pour onto tissue paper. cool.

1. Soak gelatin sized transfer sheet for 15 min.
2. expose
3. put in cold water for 1 minute w/ transfer sheet
4. press together, squeegy and weight between glass 20-30 min.
5. Put in Hot water (35-45 C) for 1 min.
6. Seperate and develop in hot water.

Judy,

She is apparantly NOT reading the archive messages that you printed out for
her. There were a number of formulas similar to mine. None looked like hers.
No wonder she's not getting anywhere. Also, a word of caution. You have to be
very very careful mixing the dichromate in with the coating. Once it dries, even
a low level of light will make the gelatin insoluble. It will then be impossible
to transfer the gelatin to the receiver. The gelatin is much more sensitive to
light then sensitized gum. Better off sensitizing it afterward with a
3% water/alchohol mixture using brush or roller. If I recall your last message
this was one of her problems. I have had no problems with bubbles using the
above
formula.

Get well soon,

Cheers
Al

PS There you go jumping to conclusions. There is no evidence that ginger tea
is superior to chicken soup. To the contrary there is a great preponderance of
research over several centuries in favor of chicken soup.
