I believe that Klaus misunderstood what I meant by "compromising or =
accepting the almost result".
I like to think of myself and other alt. print workers, as people who do =
not accept almost results, even when it means having to restart those 12 =
coats of GBC or handling "user friendly" materials, such as oxalic acid, =
to make your own batch of ferric oxalate.
To accept the almost result is to make up excuses trying to justify the =
print that you really do not like, because that would mean to go beyond =
"what you buy is what you get".
Now to more practical matters:
1.
I just came out of a meeting with Agfa in Lisbon.
Their N31p and N33p films have been discontinued and will not be sold in =
Portugal again. I believe that they will still be available in the U.S. =
for while but importing them into Portugal is too complicated and too =
expensive.=20
I also heard that a similar film is or will be manufactured in Belgium. =
Does anybody know anything about this?
My original negs are TriX 8x10 developed in pyro, and my final prints =
either 12x16 or 16x20.

2.
My work with kallitypes is threefold:
A - Historical research
B - Process research
C - Print making
So far the most difficult part has been to locate kallitypes printed =
before 1920.=20
Information about this would be appreciated.
Good Prints to everybody
Carlos
