Dick,

Just as a point of clarification, I also used the old Hydrogen Peroxide
in water trick to speed up the oxidation on both my old formula prints
and the new cyanotype prints. Sorry, I didn't mention this in my previous
post. I tried, in fact to do everything the same for prints made with the
two different sensitizers. The only real variation was the exposure time
which was greatly shorter for Dr. Ware's process.

While grinding my red crystals to powder, I did, I confess, wonder why
this step was necessary. I assume I was so that the compound would dissolve
more easily. But then, I am not a chemist, so maybe there is another reason.
Nevertheless, I did follow the instructions and turned my red crystals
into yellow powder. There is, I think, a confusing statement in the article.
i.e. After you have ground all your red crystals to yellow powder , you are
told to dissolve them untill no red crystals remain ??????
