I went through a series of tests to try to zero in on my problem. My
problem
was not due to paper sizing. I got both excellent and absolutely horrid
resuts
with the same sized batch.
What was successful was using water that was left to sit in a tub overnight
and allowed to de-gas. I went from six or more 1/4 " blisters/print to
absolutely
none. This was with several different emulsion batches. I was so excited
that
I spent the entire day cranking out prints with not one failure. I will of
course
have to repeat this to be certain it wasn't just luck.
If I have the time I will try to put together a degassing apparatus.
Cheers,
Al
