Hate to disappoint you but, Mapplethorpe did not print that work. The
platinum palladium prints were made by Sal Lopes. Sal is a master
photographer and printmaker. He has a unique ability to print
photographs with the same feeling as the original photographer sanking@hubcap.clemson.edu (on many
occasions even better). Sal taught me the platinum palladium process as
well as negative building techniques. The fabric used was a pima cotton
which I purchased for Sal. Since then I have found an even better
fabric with about twice the thread count of that pima cotton.
