The gallery guide "Photography in New York" has a *very* complete list of
the whole city and its environs. It also lists private dealers, with
background about what they specialize in. It has much alt-photo-process
info in both the listings and the gallery show descriptions. The guide also
lists shows and dealers for the rest of the USA and also Europe, although
(obviously) not as comprehensively as its' listings in NYC.

It's a great guide with lots of illustrations which make it fun to receive.
