UV Transparency

Sil writes, "Mylar is opaque to UV light."

This is a very important point in view of the fact that many sources on
alternative process printing recommend putting a sheet of plastic (mylar?)
between your negative and the sensitized paper when printing in order to
protect the negative. If one used Mylar then the exposures would tend
to be quite long.;-)
