There are two models of Kodak Photo CD scanners, the lower end model is
capable of only 35mm. The upper end--the Pro Photo CD is capable of up
to 4X5 scans. The going rate is $12 - $18 dollars for the Pro and $1.50
- $3.50 for the vanilla.
However, the operator of the scanner does have quite a bit of control
over the final quality..I've used one for a couple of months, so trust
me on this. The seeming "automation" is just an excuse to get more scans
done in less time...and make more money. In other words, all scans are
not created equal. Caveat emptor.
