Do you know what this is?

I recently acquired a couple pieces of graphic/photographic (?) equipment
that I would like to know more about. One of these looks rather like a
plate burner. It is a large light box with a padded lid that latches
down, and a 1 minute timer. The other thing looks like a long single
trough tray, with a roller sheet feed mechanism. Both of these have the
brand name of Photorapid in script lettering on the front.

I was thinking that this may have been equipment designed for making
blueprints? What seemed odd to me, was that the light source in the box
consists of a number of round incandecent bulbs with yellow painted tops.
Any Ideas?

Figured if nothing else I could, if necessary, replace the light source
to adapt this thing for alternative processes.
