In the current (JUly-August) issue of Art Calendar, page two, there is a
note:

"In March of this year IRIS Graphics informed its customers that it would no
longer sell the Longevity Ink set, explaining to them that the company based
its decision on the results of fade-testing performed by Wilhelm Imaging
Research on prints made with Longevity Inks. In a statememt submitted to Art
Calendar by Peter Alpers, Vice President of IRIS Graphics, the company noted:
'In short, IRIS held that the Longevity products did not perform at a level
consistent with our high standards......IRIS urges artists, and always has,
to demand that the printmakers they conduct business with fully disclose
which inks and papers (and coatings, if any) they use in creating their IRIS
Giclees.' "

The article contains other information (such as a note that some printers did
not return the inks and are still using them).

I don't know if this is the same IRIS material refered to in the original
post, but this just came in today's mail, and I thought is pertained to the
subject.
