This is probably off topic but there seems to be a better knowledge base
here than at any other source available to me.
Does anyone know for certain what Scala is, that is, is it a conventional
silver reversal film or chromogenic or what? Has anyone had success
processing it in her/his darkroom?
e-mail me direct if this is too off topic.

At one time I used Agfa Dia Direct black and white reversal film as a way
of saving a step in making internegatives. It had a speed then of 32 ASA.
but evenso was a little too contrasty, insufficient shadow detail. I tried
Scala at 200 but it had a very limited contrast range. I then pulled it by
five stops to find that it had a similar performance to Dia Direct. I
have only used professional labs tro process either Dia Direct or Scala.
