Moulay, I am writing this as a general comment, not directly referring to
you, so please, please don't feel offended, ok?

Since I am an engineer and programmer and have programmed custom Photoshop
filters, I know that filters CAN CONTAIN VIRUS. Custom filters are written in
C language just like any other program, so if I want to, I can write it so
that when you EXECUTE the filter, the program will search for your directory
and erase all files.

Note that filters are executed! Anything that is executed can contain virus.
Example of xecuted codes are programs, filters, macros, and scripts. Not all
of them can contain virus though. For example, if you run a macro for an
application, and that application does not support any macro that does file
operation at all, than the macro cannot contain virus; but most application
support macros for file operation, so unless you are very technical and know
the details of the macro support, or unless you can trust the source where
you obtain the macros, don't risk!

Examples of non-executables include email, image or text files. These are not
executed themselves. They are viewed by executed another application.
