Spin-Coating for Platinum Prints

Many years ago I worked in a lab where they developed coatings for writeable
CD-Roms. The disks were coated one at a time by means of a spin coating
method which produced a very even and repeatable coating.

I also recall a discussion a few weeks ago in alt-photo where someone had
conjectured that the Fresson prints were produced with a spin coating process.

Has anyone tried to coat Platinum or Kallitype prints with a spin coat
process?

It would be easy to fabricate a spin-coater. The thing that scares me is the
potential hazard of having a small amount of the coating material come out
as an aerosol. I wouldn't attempt this in anything in a well-ventilated spray
booth so that there would be no posssibility of breathing any of the coating.
