About Fresson Prints, I read in the magazine PHOTO techniques (October/97):

"This printing process, invented by Theodore Henri Fresson, at the turn of
the century, continues today as a family business near Paris. Although the
exact formula is a family secret, the process is believed to require four
color separations. Exposures are made to paper treated with oil pigments
that harden in relation to the amount of light received. Then, the print is
placed in a solution of water and sawdust. Unhardened pigment is removed by
abrasive action of the sawdust. The pigments remaining produce the final
color image. Fresson prints are considered permanent".

-Is the process still being made by the family, near Paris?
