Mel,
The best and easiest way to remove excess ink from an overinked shadow area:
Crumple a small piece of plastic wrap ( Saranwrap or cling wrap for the
kitchen) into a tight ball. Rapidly dab this ball, staccato-like onto the
overinked area. Keep turning the ball of plastic wrap so that a fresh, clean
surface keeps touching the ink. Use only such pressure as needed to remove
the ink. This will remove the excess ink much like a magnet! Do this soon
after applying the ink - not after it has dried.
