The rubber stencil was laser cut from the screened image on the computer.
This is a fairly standard procedure in the trade these days. The dot had
to be big enough for mastic to take but small enough, for reasons I will
not go into now, for people to be able to see the image at close quarters.
I am afraid that I did not understand the reference to 'shape'.
