Ok, all. I'm doing the best I can for the moment. Rapp sheets available on
the RAPP site now. The first one is up and it is by Region and last name.
Things are still a little flakey, so if your named got lopped off for any
reason, let me know, or better yet, re-sign up. I don't think I've lost
anyone though.

The RAPP Sytem is at: http://www.bostick-sullivan.com/rapp/rapp.htm
You can also get to it from a menu item by going through the front door of
my site listed below in the signature file.

There is also a new Alt-Photo List signup form that I have not tested as I
don't want to see what happens if I sign up when I'm already signed up.
Someone can let me know if this works at all?? I am also looking for
instructions on builder filters in other popular mail programs. I've got
instruction for doing it in Eudora?? any volunteers for other mail progs????

I've been struggling with putting it up in some kind of organized HTML
format. I got it automated so it would provide a list of region links, and
each region to a list of names. But Corel paradox wants to make each name a
separate file and the link pages are issued with each run. If we got 2000
people signed up, I'd be uploading 2000+ files in each run. Uh Uh. There
are quite a few other problems as well. Database report output to HTML is
in its infancy, so when I put up the HTML (in a few days, it will be just a
sorted flat file.

In time we should get this up nice and slick. My system design philosophy
is to prototype anyway, so this is probably for the best for now.

Anti-spamming is coming. Even now with the pdf file, they would have to
download it, print it out and then scan it, OCR it, and then write a
program to search out the e-mail address since it is free format file. Too
much work for spammers as Gordon says, and besides, how many spammers know
SNOBOL? I used to do magical things with SNOBOL when I was a programmer<grin>

For the moment, you'll need an Acrobat reader, something I highly
recommend, as Acrobat has become the standard way to transmit publications
on the Web. A download link is provided on the RAPP Sheet page.

For those who were opposed to using Acrobat, my apologies, it is just the
quickest and dirtiest way to get the stuff out.

Cheers.
