Itīs true, ethers produce explosives, the so called Ether-peroxides. They
are in fact very dangerous. But the addition of a small amount of a
stabilization agent, as BHT (t-Butyl-Hydroxyl-Toluol, it acts as an
antioxidans) may avoid the genesis of peroxides.
You may get these substance from all supplies of chemicals, but I think that
it is already added to your solvent. Take a look at the label of your bottle.
