Need help with making large negative.

I have another "newbie" question for you all. I want to make a large
negative so
I can participate in all this excitement... and I do mean that because I
love
learning about all the options. Now, since I don't have a large
format
camera, how can I achieve a large negative? Can I get an
internegative? Can
a lab do it for me? Can I use transparancy film in the computer on
pictures I
scan in? Is there somewhere you can turn me where I can find these
answers.
I'm in one of those situations where I'm so excited to get started but
I'm
frustrated because I want to do it all at once.
