Kerik,

When I was first getting set up to make my multi-negative panoramic prints
(with which you are familiar), I found some plastic storage bins of
approximately 16"x32" and 6" deep. That was the largest I could find at the
time. I think I've seen some larger ones recently at Home Depot or Target or
someplace like that. At less than $10 a piece they did the job quite well
and they have lids too.. I found no adverse reactions to or from the
plastic.
