Eric,

Just for your info and the list's as well. What you are sending around
is not a valid petition. However, it can be viewed as a list of
interested parties concerned with an issue. In order to have any real
effect, a petition should be utilized. A petition should contain the
name, address, and voter registration number, precinct, and district,
along with a signature for each person on it. Only the signatures of
registered voters, and proof, attached to the clearly stated issue is
valid. Every signature must be validated for authenticity, thus the
necessity for voter registration number and address. Any names not
established as authentic registered voters will be deleted. Also any
duplicate signatures will be deleted; note that is is illegal to
knowingly sign any petition more than once.

Unfortunately, the list of names being collected by your request will
not constitute a valid petition. Hence wasted effort. Also when a
valid petition does circulate, those who have already "signed" onto this
list may be confused and not sign a real petition. Sorry.
