I'd suggest we should all ignore this proposal.

Apart from anything else it is an internal contradiction. In it the poster
is challenging Gord's authority by asking for a vote, yet the proposition
on which he wants us to vote asks for the removal of anyone who challenges
this authority.

Surely it must be up to Gord to decide if he wants to run a vote, and to
decide the terms, not to be dictated to in this way. And, as in the past I
expect he would consult widely before making any such decision.

The only logical answer would seem to me that the person who posted this
suggestion should take his own medicine and leave us for three months!

Perhaps at the end of this time both he and the other person who has been
parted from the list could be invited back to join us - if they are each
prepared to give an assurance of future good behaviour!

Of course this is only a suggestion. I wouldn't dream of trying to dictate
to the listowner!
