The patents are very useful and a good source of information. Lots of good
theory there even in the instances where there is (understandable)
obfuscation of procedure.

Such as Making and Coating Photographic Emulsions? I was going to get
around to those if anyone was interested in a more comprehensive
bibliography. Alas, there is much material in Russian that is also
untranslated to date, and I wish I knew Russian. It's a handicap.

I don't have a copy of the Glafkides (1985 edition) either. There are only
two libraries in the United States with a copy, and neither library will do
an interlibrary loan nor photocopy the material for research purposes. Is
the Glafkides still about $1000.00? I haven't seen a copy on the used book
market, either (assuming I could mortgage my house to pay for it!).

No, not at the moment. I've been very ill for quite some time (I'm on
disability retirement right now). I hope at some point to get a little of
my health back and to continue my studies (and research).

It's good to her from you.
