Sandy,
Try pre-soaking the film in a tray of water before inserting into the drum
or tube. I use about a two minute presoak. Also, if your tube allows, fill
the drum/tube with water then place the film inside. Cap off the tube and
drain off the water. This method is a bit of a pain, but it works.
