I’ve just printed a Ziatype that has a lot of pure white tone – an
over-exposed white background. However, I can see the paper’s watermark
(faintly) through the print, even with a white backing card. On my previous
Ziatypes, the watermarks have only been visible when the print is help up to
the light, and they can not be seen once the print has been mounted.
The paper I am using (Cranes) has been cut so that the watermark generally
appears in the image area.
Am I doing something wrong with the coating – I’ve used a little Tween 20,
or is this effect normal?
