Paul,

Just to be clear, you are coating with LiPd and (lfo or just plain fo?),
printing dry, and then plunging into water instead of developing with
glycerine/developer. Right? It's certainly not a combination I tried and
I don't think Dick did either. What sort of contrast and print color are
you getting with this approach?

The variations of the chemicals and process seem endless.

BTW, for consistent results in winter-dry conditions with the regular
Zia method, the best results seem to come from using Crane paper (
AS8111 or Platinotype) that is stored dry and humidified with a "cold
mist humidifier" just before coating. I've been able to get really
consistent matched-edition results this way. The other approach is to
raise the room humidity and use a paper like Arches Platine that likes
to be stored and used at high humidity.
