Hi Dan,
I think you are perfectly sane - I shoot 95% of my work on 4x5, but recently
sold my 8x10 so I could eventually build and use a 8x20 - the desire got
bigger negs won over common sense.
I have had sessions where I have shot 35mm, 6x7, 4x5 and 8x10, and there was
a reason for each. I agree that you cannot use more than one camera at a
time, but there are certain images more suitable for a particular camera,
and if you have it, use it.
Go for the gusto and do the big negs...
