Adam,
what kind of paper are you using? are you using extra mylar?
For some papers it helps to back them up with some hard and evensurfaced
paper (i.e. 300 gsm offset printing paper).
The reason I found for unevenness when using a vacuum frame is that since
t copies much more precisely, it is very sensitive to all parameters (
coating, humidity,...)
