David,

I have used Fabriano Artistico 90lb hp for traditional pt/pd. I have had no
problems with the surface dimpling; however, it is a bit softer after
processing than before. The only problem I have is that the sensitizer tends
to puddle on the surface and needs quite a bit of brushing to get an even
coating that won't float off in the chemistry.

The Fabriano gives a final print much like that one gets on Crane's
Platinotype, the differences are fairly subtle, but the Crane's is quite a
bit faster.

Subject: Hot Pressed Paper

I've been trying a few different papers with Ziatype. My last test was with
a paper labelled, "Hot Press", and it had a very smooth finish. However,
after rinsing my print, the paper texture has totally changed - it is now
covered in small dimples. Is this normal for hot press finishes?
