If you want a neutral or even slightly cold-toned alternate process
print--with spectacular tonal range and subtlety--you should try the
ziatype method of palladium printing. Just two ingredients needed,
ammonium ferric oxalate and lithium palladium chloride. It's fully POP
and you'll find it really easy to learn the basic technique. While more
expensive than cyanotype, unless you are making very big prints or lots
and lots of them the cost is quite reasonable. You can get fancier and
include platinum in the formula, but the most basic formulation should
be very close to what you're asking for.
