Ah Farah, those are some of my favorite questions.... I live in Greenwich
Village USA, and if anyone thinks we have BOHEMIANS and wild life here,
like in the days of Maya Deren (who lived upstairs with her 17 cats), oh,
they are living in the past. Now we are all bourgeois, gentrified,
lawyers, the PTA and 3 local democratic parties trying to kill each other.

My first love in "non-silver" was cyanotype, but being a former painter, I
suppose it was inevitable that I "graduate" to gum, which can do ANYTHING
you want if you're lucky (and the conjunction of the planets is right).

But you must answer those questions yourself, since naturally we are full
of curiosity about how you found the list, and what your own life in
photography is like. Have you done these processes, any or all? Can you
get supplies? Books? To us provincial Americans, of course, it seems like
you are living on the back of the moon -- but your English is so
colloquial, somehow I have the thought you have lived in an
English-speaking country, or...?

Julia Margaret Cameron is my patron saint, by the way -- not just the
sound-alike of the names, but we were both the same age when we began
photography... Sorry I don't have that web address, but surely some of the
folks on this list who are so all-fired web-ified can advise how to find
it.

Meanwhile, welcome to "the list" -- which can certainly use another Uppity
Woman !
