Hello to all,

I am pleased to announce the availability of detailed instructions to
prepare ferric oxalate powder.

In June of 1999, Vicente-M. Vizcay Castro (of Madrid, Spain) contacted
me (Melrose, MA, USA) and asked if I would be interested in testing his
ferric oxalate powder and publishing his instructions for its
preparation on my web site. I told him that I would be delighted to
evaluate his powder and that if it proved to be of high quality and I
could reproduce the results by following his procedure, then I would be
honored to publish it in the Guide on my web site. We have the mutual
feeling that information pertaining to the photographic processes should
be complete, accurate, available and without charge.

His sample proved to be of the highest quality. His instructions were
sound, and I was able to produce FO powder of the highest quality by
following his instructions. The complete instructions with photo
illustrations and testing results can be found in the Guide to Platinum
Palladium Photographic Printmaking (in Chapter 4) at this link:

Vicente is an alt-photo list member and should be available to address
questions or comments.
