Do a search for Smooth-on. This is a plastic resin company and they sell
resin for fake glass. Also look up theatrical supplies. They have the same
need for spilled water that does not evaporate and the such.

Subject: fake ice cubes(maybe too off topic)

im interested in making fake ice cubes for particular
shoots and was wondering if anyone knows a secret
recipe or has some knowledge on this topic. we bought
some from a supplier to get though a couple of shoots,
but we want a bucket full of various cubes. the ones
we got go for about twenty dollars a piece. that price
is just too high for to little shots on the topic. it
would be so much more delightful to make these things
anyway.
thank you for any information
