Hello,
I try to make daguerreotypes as copies from BL&W positives in a contact
easel.
Problems are coming up after the first try-outs :
- NEWTON RINGS ARE NASTY ...
- DENSITY SPOTS ARE COMING UP IN THE IMAGE : uneven JODIUM DAMPING or
marking of NEWTON RINGS ?
- PROBLEMS WITH MY LIGTHNING SOURCE ( an old Philips UV lamp typ
57265F128) : does it have a warming up time ?
- DRYING OF THE PLATES AT THE END ...
- THE CONTRAST OF MY IMAGES IS RATHER LOW.
- HOW CAN YOU MAKE A CONTROL TO BE SURE THAT AFTER POLISHING THE
SILVERPLATE ... there is no polish
or fat on the plate anymore ?
