Older Sun workstations have had optical mice for a long time now,
although they need a small aluminum mouse pad with a pattern printed on it.
It's always nice to get back to the optical mouse after having to
use a mechanical mouse on another computer. Fine positioning seems so
much easier with the optical mouse.
