Several sources suggest that one of the problems with salted paper is that the sensitzer may sink too far into the paper and result in a print of less apparent contrast and sharpness. The remedy suggested is sizing, either with arrowroot or gelatin. Can anyone explain why this problem is unique to salted paper? Why is is not a consideration with processes like vanDyke, kallitype or platinum? Sandy King
