What is a Van Dyke? Kallitype?

With all of the discussions regarding permanence of Van Dyke prints I
must admit confusion as the nature of this print. Is a Van Dyke the
same as a Kallitype? If not, how is it different, and to what degree
does this difference impact permanence?

I have read that both Van Dykes and Kallitypes are silver/iron
prints. Do silver/iron prints have more or less permanence than
salted paper prints?

Thanks in advance for for information re: the above.
