Chris,
Talking about Tmax and TriX is like talking about Fords and Chevys. I
for one 'am a TriX use and have been for over 30 years. I tried using
Tmax when it first came out and did not like the results I got from that
film. Just in a rutt I guess. I use TriX from 35mm to 4x5 to 11x14
(still have a few sheets left). I just like the way it works.
As for film holders, look real good into the dark slide track real good
see if any material is in the track. Try to clean is out by using old
business cards, if you need some solvent to clean Try some 'Ever Clear'
grain sprits 190 proof. After cleaning check the dark slide to see if
they have any nicks. File them down very carefuly with an emory board
on the finest grit. Then wax the edges down with some soft Bees wax,
(it whon't take much) just a dab.
