I've heard that adding thymol to gelatin sizing mixes and to glyoxal
solutions will act as a preservative. A search thru the archive, however,
offers nothing conclusive. Does anyone here use thymol? If so, how do you
mix it, and in what proportion do you add it to the solution to be
preserved?
