That's why I'm very careful not to learn one drop more than necessary for
the job in hand -- less wasted energy. What might be considered
simultaneously is how much less available that 4x5 camera film is likely
to be after said "blink."

And, re retouching negs -- are we talking about 4x5 or 8x10? In my
experience, retouching 4x5 is tricky, and shooting 8x10 is exponentially
more difficult, perhaps tipping the scale a bit more toward digital
*camera*. Whatever computer system you are a slave to (I am planning to
keep my present horror story til the end of [my] time, which is why I try
not to breathe on it), it's bound to permit screen enlargements to many
times actual size, hence retouching 4 by 5 camera neg (should it exist)
more feasible.

Good luck with the show. If it were at "Kansas City" in NYC, I'd even go
above 14th St to see it.
