RE: Digital negs and Platinum
Hello Dan,
I understand you scan your neg's. After that you probably use photoshop or
equal to get the right contrast curves for platinum..... BUT
-By what medium do you print the 12x18 neg's. With a laser printer?? color,
black and white? and on what kind of media (overhead film?).
I would like to know since grafic film is getting harder and harden to
obtain and at very high costs. I am thinking more and more about trying to
make my elarged neg's digitally.
Sometimes i read the messages in this newsgroup and sometimes it all sounds
very complicated, especially the printing of the enlarged neg's
thanks for all info.

Hi Richard,
I'm a 35mm shooter (exclusively for now) and with a desktop scanner
(Polaroid SprintScan 4000) take the negatives to 12" X 18" with no
interpolation. Of course, just as every 35mm neg won't make a good
PROJECTION enlargement to that size, it pays to start with a good
negative. >;^D
Good news for 35mm shooters who are platinum printers!
