RE: Image fading with Argyrotype



Hello Cor,

Out of the fog comes high school chemistry lesson nr .... The redox
reaction. Youre absolutely right! Ag ----> AG+ + 1e
and Ag+ + Cl-  -----> deposids

Stupid I.R had not tought of that before.

By the way: How has youre, do it yourself, Goldcloride experiment worked
out?

I do not use the Argyotype chemistry, so I cannot help you on most of
your questions, but

(which I do not observe in my Kallitype printing), but toning after
fixing should be followed by yet a second fixing step, since one of the
byproducts of goldtoning is the formation of SilverChloride, and yoy do
not want that, and should be fixed out..
