12.76 grams Ferric Oxalate powder (98% pure)
1.50 grams Oxalic Acid
0.50 grams EDTA (CAS: 60-00-4)
distilled water to make 50 ml
This makes a 25% solution to be used with the appropriate metal
solutions.
Although I will be changing to 0.25 grams EDTA (0.5%) and recommend this
(once tested) as this amount should be sufficient to assist clearing and
an excess of EDTA causes the metal to "float" through the paper (this is
noticed as a "bleeding" of the metal through or off the paper.) This
effect is very noticeable when using 2% EDTA.
