You might consider using products that are coated such as offered by
Dupont. You might also send e-mail messages to manufacturers of film
designed for ink jet printing and see if there are some recommendations
they can make. There are lots of manufacturers out there on the Web.
The goal is to find a coating that is compatible with the inks you are
using. If you are going to continue to experiment with fixed out films,
it goes without saying to be very careful and do not scratch or abrade
the surface. This will lead to defects. I can't find anything that meets
my standards, so I went back to photographic negatives and the good old
darkroom.
