James... BTW, it is Photo-Paint I am talking about. I would bet there is
a Mac version, but since I greatly prefer a PC, I never cared enough to
see. I do have a Powerbook, though. As for how the "Pro" world views
Photoshop - it has always been a mystery to me. Am I saying PS is bad?
Certainly not. I am not a PS basher. There really are not enough
differences between Corel and Photoshop to make me change. Like many
programs out there, one gets a big following and a better program might
not be as well known or used.

Either program would serve you well. My biggest problem with discussing
any software is that one side of the coin says something can't be done
and the other points out it can, and arguments ensue. Mac Vs. PC
arguments always get started

Fact is, either program is under utilized. There are many features that
are never used. For most people who use PS or Corel, the work they do
could easily be done using something smaller and less expensive.

The point is to find tools that are truly useful and help you do what you
want to do. Do not choose one program over another because everyone says
this is better than that. There are lots of users of both programs that
do good work.

Incidentally, there are lots of graphics programs out there that use all
the plug-ins.
