Pack for 7x17 camera

Hello all,

I'm looking for a reasonable method to carry my 7x17 camera away from my
vehicle. I intend to do dayhikes and possibly some light overnights
(where neither a tent or a bag are required, desert southwest, for
example). As you would expect, I would have to be able to carry the
camera, tripod, maybe four filmholders, two or three lenses, darkcloth,
meter, etc. and also a small amount of food and water, raingear, etec.
Clearly, this is a bunch of gear, and will be _very_ heavy, maybe as
much as 60 pounds or so, all told.

I have not found a panel loading pack large enough, nor are any of the
photo-backpacks large enough, although even if they were, I feel they
are woefully inadequate for carrying heavy loads like this.

I suspect I will have to use a pack frame and have some form-fitting,
padded cordura bags made to strap to the frame.

Since there are so many ULF users in this group, I hope someone has
solved this problem before and is willing to impart some advise.
Thanks,

---Michael
